Why This Matters
Sunnyside Shower Project is a volunteer-powered mutual aid organization providing free showers, hygiene supplies, clothing, laundry support, and low-barrier care for unsheltered and unstably housed neighbors in Southeast Portland.
In 2025 alone, SSP provided:
-
1,250+ showers
-
Nearly 2,000 guest visits
-
Support for around 350 unique neighbors
-
Thousands of dollars in laundry assistance
Right now, SSP is operating entirely through community donations and volunteer support. Wild Heart II helps keep showers running, laundry cards loaded, hygiene supplies stocked, and the doors open.

Accessibility Information
Sunnyside Shower Project is committed to making Wild Heart II as welcoming and accessible as possible. We also want to be transparent about the accessibility limitations of the venue.
Venue Access
-
Foxtrot PDX is not wheelchair accessible.
-
Access to the main event space requires navigating stairs.
-
Unfortunately, there is no elevator or alternative accessible entrance available.
Outdoor Space
-
The patio area is surfaced with gravel, which may be difficult to navigate for wheelchair users, people using walkers, canes, or other mobility devices, and anyone with mobility concerns.
Seating
-
Seating will be available throughout the venue and patio area.
-
Volunteers will be available to assist with finding seating and navigating the space as needed.
Questions or Accommodation Requests
If you have questions about the space or would like to discuss accommodations before the event, please contact us at sunnysideshowerproject@gmail.com and we will do our best to help.
We recognize that these accessibility barriers may prevent some community members from attending, and we sincerely regret that. As a small, volunteer-powered organization, our venue options were limited by cost, availability, and space needs. While Foxtrot PDX allows us to host a fundraiser that directly supports our work, we know the venue is not accessible to everyone.
Accessibility is a core value of our work. While we were unable to secure a wheelchair-accessible venue for this year's event, we are committed to prioritizing wheelchair-accessible spaces for future fundraisers and community events. We appreciate your understanding and welcome feedback as we continue working to make our events more accessible and inclusive.
