About The Sunnyside Shower Project

Sunnyside Shower Project is a Sunnyside Neighborhood Association Community Cares (SNACC) Committee program offering showers to houseless neighbors in SE Portland. The Groves Church has generously opened up their shower facilities for us to use three days a week:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-5PM

  • Saturdays from 2-6PM.

Our door is always open to new guests, no matter what neighborhood you live in.
We are located at 3520 SE Yamhill St.

The Shower Project is open three afternoons a week: on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-5 PM, and on Saturdays from 2-6 PM.

Stop by for a shower, a cup of coffee, clean clothes, and other supplies!

Our regular volunteers work a two-hour shift every other week, and we also have volunteers who fill in as subs now and then. Volunteers always work in pairs.

Volunteer Shifts
Tuesdays and Thursdays:

  • 12:45 PM to 3:00 PM

  • 3:00 PM to 5:15 PM

  • 1:45 PM to 4:00 PM

  • 4:00 PM to 6:15 PM

We are always happy to receive material donations of towels, washcloths, toiletries, and used (but not threadbare) clothing. Our guests also always need shoes, belts, and backpacks. We also graciously accept instant noodles, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate donations.

[We do not accept children's clothes, toys, household items, or furniture.]

We're also delighted to receive monetary donations. You can donate to the Shower Project via our fiscal sponsor, Southeast Uplift.
